I sort of set this up to lead into this two posts ago. My focus has not only been on SWR but also on some eroges. I would say it has been at least a few years since I decided to pick one up to play.

I don’t remember what gave me the sudden urge to want to play it. I was most likely a 4chan thread I read some time ago on ‘Yume Miru Kusuri’ where you see a catgirl like character saying that semen gives her power. I will go more depth about that game later but before I decided to fire that game up. I decided to go old school by playing a ten year old h-game called Dividead.

Anyone who have plays h-games would most likely have played this before. It was one of the first ones ever made and you can say it set the standards. etc. etc. boring stuff. For those that has never played it before. I’ll go on with the basic premise.
I first played about half way through the game about two or three years ago before I got absolutely bored with it. Giving it a second chance, I found myself immersed in the story. The story behind this was rather dark, it carried an occult theme to it. You play as the typical male protaganous who transfer to a new private school after recovering for a mysterious condition that caused him to have uncontrollable seizers. He comes up some unique characters there. Many people you meet has a dark secret and they are rarely who they make out to be. The nurse in this game is hot.

The game is rather linear, putting out the choices in the game doesn’t have too much impact with the general story. It only effects the ending where each will reveal more about the secrets of the school. Unlike most h-games.. the replay value lies within the story rather than the CG.

Just by looking at the graphics of the game. You can immediately tell that this game is old school. It is mainly the character design that stands out and makes it different from the modern day ones. The bodies of some of the characters look deformed and their faces… also deformed.
As for music, it sounds as if it is all midi generated. This is before the companies that make the game hire musicians to compose a score for them.

The only thing I truly disliked about this game is trying to find out what to do next when you’re to wander around the school grounds. Many times, you are forced to follow a path where you goto point A, point B, and point A again. There is only minimal times (twice I believe) where the next place you decide to goto effect the story.
My next story will be to take a look at Yume Miru Kusuri.
