    Yeah, but who has EVER heard of “mensiversary”?

    And “Mensi” reminds people of “Menstruation”. It just doesn’t sound as elegant as “Anniversary”.

    Whether if it sounds elegant or not. One month is still not an anniversary.

    Yet, I know of real people who use the word that way. So even though it is incorrect as a word, it is plausible for the incorrect usage to appear in monologue. We can’t check definitions on Google when we talk to ourselves.

    The usage of ‘anniversary’ has become a pet peeves for me. I know people used it in that fashion as well and I would call them out on it, even if it is an innocent mistake. I’ve heard it used incorrectly too many times. It’s something I can’t get over anymore.
