Theme Change

I was getting a bit tired of my old one so here’s something new and sexy. I didn’t get around to finishing the mockup for my project but I don’t think it would have been able to top this one. I mentioned before, I’m for a minimalistic style.. I don’t like having stuff all cluttered together since I’m not trying to sell anything. There are still a few small things that need to get tweaked but it wouldn’t really matter if I didn’t. This is the first time I used widgets since this theme pretty much requires you to use it. I’ve been avoiding it since it came out usually because messes with several default settings but my sidebar would have been empty if I left it. Neat thing about this theme is that it’s like easy mode for customization.

I don’t think I will change themes for a long time since this is pretty sweet. Now if I will only make use of this blog…

Halloween Update

No real change when it came to making this blog look seasonal.. not worth it since the reader base is only a few people who mostly does not comment anyways.

I have come across this very annoying bug or something like that where my RSS feed is not being updated on SnapShots/Previews. After I decided to change my perma-link structure. It hasn’t been working correctly. Finding nothing on the WP forums that could help with that. I’m going to change it back to the old permalink structure if I can’t figure it out soon.Another thing I have to do would be to place a featured feed section on the new theme I plan to use. That is pretty much the only thing I got to get done before the transition. I still have to talk to my.. coding adviser for suggestions before I do anything.Updating to a new version of WP is always a pain.
After I get that done, I can stop being lazy and start posting some more. I already have some material ready to be used.

Slowing editing a nice theme I seen a little while ago.
Will get it up as soon as I add the things I need on it.
My code monkey is slacking… or busy with other stuff. I’d like the think the former.

A fresh start..

It’s been about a year since I registered this domain name which really has no meaning. There are a few things that I need to get done first. One of them being to upgrade this software. Reorganizing my pages.. many things.

I don’t intend on turning this into another anime blog where I post thoughts on each episode mainly because I’m lazy but I will post news on anime related stuff. Only the stuff that interest me and the things I steal from other sites.

Music, education, games.. just about anything that I feel I would need to share with the 2 people that will eventually read this. Maybe I should get a staff of people (mainly personal friends I trust) to post about their misfortunes and their interest on certain things… just maybe… could get some active readers and who knows.. maybe turn this into something big. A guy can dream right?

Update: I’ve just upgraded to a newer version. Now time to work on editing the theme. This process may take me a while since I am clueless when it comes to editing PHP and CSS. Some things will not line up correctly, or look out of place. It’s a learning process for me right now.

Update 2: I’ve looked at the code and got a better feel for it.Â Although I still have a lot to learn.Â I think I got the most essential part down.Â But before I do any major changes, I’m thinking of getting a few banners to put up so it doesn’t look so plain.Â There are a lot of other things I want to add such as an image gallery for the future.Â Many more things to come.
